Chapter Philanthropy
Eta Kappa chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma hosts many fun philanthropy events throughout the year! In the fall we have the annual Kolor Run in which the proceeds go to a cause close to our chapter's hearts. This past year all of the Kolor Run proceeds went to the Hurricane Relief Fund. In the Winter, we have our annual Kappa Krush which not only allows the campus to get into the Valentine's Day spirit, but allows us to raise money for RIF, or reading is fundamental. In the Spring we host our annual RIF event, in which we reach out to the community and host a day for kids to be immersed into reading and other fun activities.
These are just a few of the chapter planned philanthropy events. The Kappas at Knox College are always involved in volunteering at so many other organizations. This year alone we had girls go to a local school and read to elementary kids, be CASA advocates, coach little league soccer, help rebuild a local theater, and much much more.
If you have any questions about Eta Kappa's philanthropy on goings you can always email the Philanthropy Chair, Lyss Main at almain@knox.edu. She loves to talk about her position!
